摘要: Abstract The rhamnogalacturonan, isolated from the roots of medicinal plant Althaea officinalis L., showed various biological effects on citric acid-induced cough reflex and reactivity airways smooth muscle in vitro vivo conditions. It possessed dose-dependent suppression effect comparable with opioid agonist codeine. However, muscle, measured as well conditions was not significantly affected by rhamnogalacturonan thus bronchodilatory activity did participate polysaccharide tested. Moreover, polymer modified pretreatment K + ATP ion channels selective antagonist therefore activation this type is involved mechanism suppressive ability. On contrary, animals 5-HT 2 receptors decreased antitussive efficacy. From point view it seems that associated serotonergic receptor's function.
