摘要: Medication adherence in persons treated for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) continues to be an important focus intervention. While high levels of are required good clinical outcomes, research shows many patients do not achieve these levels. Despite multiple interventions improve adherence, most require sessions delivered by trained clinicians. Cost and lack personnel limit the availability interventions. Alternatives clinician-delivered provided via electronic devices (eg, personal/tablet computers smartphones). Modern technology allows provide tailoring content patient characteristics learning needs, excellent platforms deliver multimedia teaching content. The intervention reported drew on health literacy with HIV relation medication develop electronically application. Using Information-Motivation-Behavioral Skills model as a conceptual framework understanding patients' information computer-delivered was developed, its usability acceptability assessed, 118 1 month before after they completed evaluated. Changes participant were evaluated sequential models progressively lower baseline adherence. Results show that although changes entire sample only approached statistical significance, individuals less than 95% showed significant increases over time. Participants' self-reported knowledge behavioral skills increased course study. Their change predicted their post-intervention suggesting link between intervention's effects outcomes. A targeting HIV-related may thus useful strategy improving
