摘要: Abstract Hydrotalcite, MgO, CaO and zeolites transesterify canola oil in the gas phase at temperatures above 300 °C atmospheric pressure. Syringe pumps metered alcohol through a 1/8″ tube to bottom of 7 mm “capillary”-fluidized bed. Argon entered annular region bed sintered glass frit as supplemental fluidizing gas. Oil conversion was complete with excess methanol feed. Contact times were less than 0.3 s weight-hourly space velocity on order 15 h−1 (0.15 ml min−1 feed rate 0.5 g catalyst). As catalyst deactivates, condenses fluidized collapses. The zeolite deactivated within 2 min; hydrotalcite could operate for several minutes; MgO operated without interruption well over 20 min. Periodic oxidation maintained activity.
