摘要: Mass transfer is a rate limiting step in biodiesel production. Ultrasound can accelerate tremendously the mass both triglycerides transesterification and free fatty acid esterification by finely emulsifying reagents that are poorly miscible. We describe reactor configurations for esterification, with emphasis on work published authors. increases raw oils at temperatures below 40 °C. The Eley–Rideal kinetic model of including resistance between phases excellent agreement experimental data. Rosett cell combines acoustic cavitation turbulence transesterifies 90 % feedstock 5 min, whereas it takes min conventional batch reactor. Continuous semi-continuous tubular reactors irradiated power density kW/cm3 converts oil 10 min.
