摘要: Some retrieved CoCrMo hip implants have shown that abrasive wear is one of the possible mechanisms invoked within such joints. To date, little work has focused on third body abrasion and therefore there a general lack understanding effect size volume concentration tribo-corrosion performance alloys. The present assessed behaviour cast (F-75) under various abrasion–corrosion conditions by using modified microabrasion tester incorporating three-electrode electrochemical cell. effects reduced size/hardness concentration, as well role proteins alloy were addressed. correlation between mechanical processes for different test been discussed in detail. Results show reduction can significantly affect wear-induced corrosion response material. finding this study implies smaller/softer particles generated vivo could also result significant potential metal ion release, which be potentially detrimental to both patient health life span implants.
