摘要: In this investigation, the dissolution and repassivation kinetics of a super martensitic (SM) stainless steel (Fe-12.3Cr-6.5Ni-2.6Mo) have been characterized using artificial pit technique. As part study, diffusion model has developed employed for calculation surface concentration dissolved species during potential step experiments. For concentrations close to saturation level are adequately described by Tafel slope approximately 57 mV/dec current density 0.5 mA/cm 2 at -300 mV vs. saturated calomel electrode. However, active occurs when drops below 30% value. Based on comparison with relevant literature data, observed response SM localized corrosion is similar that reported other high alloyed steels. This result expected if controlled content Cr, Ni, Mo in parent material.
