摘要: Wetlands are internationally recognized as a crucial habitat type for the conservation of many migratory birds. Despite fact that bats also long-distant migrants, importance foraging habitats sustaining migrant has to date received little attention. We analyzed selection patterns in bat, Nathusius' pipistrelle Pipistrellus nathusii, southernmost part its range (Iberian Peninsula), an area which both mating and hibernation occur. found natural wetlands riparian (Phragmites reed beds) were positively selected, whereas human-transformed aquatic (rice paddies) avoided. Although semi-natural human-managed perceived being valuable species, our data emphasizes preserving (including forests) appropriate phases life cycle this bat. Agricultural transformation land is likely be detrimental species since it reduces availability preferred habitat.
