摘要: Abstract Histochemistry for visualization of the mitochondrial enzyme cytochrome oxidase has been used to detect cellular and regional differences in brain energy metabolism. We have examined pattern (CO) staining grafts embryonic ventral mesencephalic tissue, implanted striatum, MPTP-treated monkeys as one index functional activity grafted tissue its influence on host brain. Four were selected study based interesting variations dopamine (DA) neuron content their bilateral demonstrated with tyrosine-hydroxylase (TH) immunocytochemistry. The results suggest that rich DA neurons increase metabolic striatum DA-depleted monkeys, this improvement local metabolism is greater vicinity containing numbers neurons. In addition, CO within transplants indicates exhibit highest rate among all cell types contained grafts, receive metabolically active innervation from outside or tissue.
