摘要: There is a lack of prevalent data for dumping syndrome (DS) and methods discriminating between different symptoms the DS. A self-assessment questionnaire, Dumping Symptom Rating Scale (DSRS), was developed. The aim to measure severity frequency nine evaluate construct validity DSRS. Pre- 1 2 years after Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery, 47 adults 82 adolescents completed Cognitive interview performed. Reliability were tested. Effect sizes (ES) changes calculated. Patients found questionnaire relevant. high proportion respondents reported no affecting them negatively at all (floor effects). However, 12 % stated, quite severe, or very severe problems regarding fatigue meal half so tired that they needed lie down. Nearly 7 dominated by nausea 6 fainting esteem. internal consistency reliability adequate both (0.81–0.86) (0.76–0.84) scales. ES small, since some subjects experienced already preoperatively. Although most patients mild around had persistent symptoms, in particular, postprandial fatigue, Another with DSRS reliable screening tool identify these patients.
