摘要: Globally, obesity has reached epidemic proportions. The rapidly increasing numbers of overweight people can be traced back to overconsumption energy-dense, poor-quality foods as well physical inactivity. This development far-reaching and costly implications. Not only is associated with serious physiological psychological complications, but mounting evidence also indicates a ripple effect through generations via epigenetic changes. Parental could induce intergenerational transgenerational changes in metabolic brain function the offspring. Most research focused on maternal gestational effects; however, paternal contributions are likely substantial. We focus latest advances understanding mechanisms inheritance obesity-evoked neurobiological germline that predict wide-ranging consequences for following generation(s).
