摘要: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect light-curing protocols on two modern resin composites using different air-inhibition coating strategies. This accomplished by assessing amount monomer elution, surface microhardness, and composite discoloration in storage conditions. A total 120 specimens were prepared Filtek Supreme XTE (3M ESPE, Seefeld, Germany) CeramX Universal (Dentsply DeTrey, Konstanz, Germany). Specimens light-cured air as per manufacturer's instructions or absence oxygen. latter condition achieved three approaches: (i) transparent polyester strip; (ii) glycerin; (iii) argon gas. assessed for release monomers, Vickers hardness, after solutions. results analyzed with ANOVA one-way test followed Student-Newman-Keuls test. Moreover, multiple comparisons means performed Student t-test (p<0.05). monomers released from tested very low all presence oxygen induced some decrease microhardness. highest values, both materials, obtained ageing red wine. In case finish polish procedures are awkward achieve posteriors restoration, should be considered, especially when performing restoration esthetic areas.
