摘要: Subsurface temperature profiles measured in boreholes can be analyzed to infer depths of thermal disturbance and associated surface warming due combined global urbanization (heat island effects). Asian cities are extremely vulnerable because rapid increases population. Average subsurface four (Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Bangkok) were compared evaluate the effects warming. The magnitude is largest Tokyo (2.8°C), followed by Seoul (2.5°C), Osaka (2.2°C), Bangkok (1.8°C). Comparisons between analytical solutions observations show that mean depth deviation from regional geothermal gradient each urban area may one indicators history city. steady gradient, which approximately 140 m Tokyo, 80 50 Bangkok, indicates time start additional heat urbanization. These results agree qualitatively with air records during last 100 yr. effect on an important groundwater quality issue it alter systems chemically microbiologically. Measurement data provides information for understanding joint systems.
