摘要: Gradient formation and signaling ranges of secreted proteins are crucial problems to understand how morphogens work for positional information patterning in animal development. Yet, extracellular behaviors molecules remain unexplored compared their downstream pathways inside the cell. Recent advances bioimaging make it possible directly visualize morphogen molecules, this simple strategy has, at least partly, succeeded uncovering molecular morphogens, such as Wnt (wingless-type MMTV integration site family member) BMP (bone morphogenetic protein) well binding proteins, sFRPs (secreted Frizzled-related proteins), embryonic tissues. Here, we review regulation by sFRPs, focusing on ligands comparison with other morphogens. We also discuss evolutionary aspects comprehensive syntenic phylogenetic about vertebrate sfrp genes. newly annotated several genes including sfrp2-like 1 (sfrp2l1) frogs fishes crescent mammals.
