摘要: Background: Prolonged atrial conduction time measured by tissue Doppler imaging (TDI) has been associated with increased risk of fibrillation. We aimed to evaluate the effect subclinical hyperthyroidism (SH) and antithyroid treatment on time. Methods: A total 30 patients SH (26 females; mean age 34.8 ± 8.5 years) age- gender-matched controls were included. Using TDI, was from lateral mitral annulus, septal tricuspid annulus. Intra- interatrial delay calculated. TDI thyroid hormone levels studied at enrollment after achievement euthyroid state propylthiouracil treatment. Patients followed for 14 3 weeks. Results: Atrial annulus significantly higher in compared controls. Both inter-, right, left intraatrial electromechanical prolonged control subjects (21.3 6.1 vs. 13.9 4.3, P < 0.001 4.2 3.5 2.3 1.9, = 0.014 17.1 6.0 11.6 3.8, 0.001, respectively). After state, inter- decreased baseline values approximated group (P 0.001). Conclusion: is decrement may reveal how prevent development fibrillation these patients.
