摘要: A liquid crystal layer, made of a material having negative dielectric anisotropy, is sealed between an opposing substrate and pixel that are arranged face to with each other; thus, panel the birefringence control type constructed. In this panel, molecules, provided as material, kept in oriented state which they incline by angle range 3° 10° respect direction normal substrate. Upon application driving voltage since pretilt angle, initial inclination set at value greater than conventional apparatus, occurrence reverse tilt regions can be suppressed. Thus, disclination line, formed effect electric potentials exerted adjacent pixels, shifted toward edge pixel. The shift line suppresses wider region, thereby increasing effective reflectance pixels.
