摘要: The Indian pearl oyster Pinctada fucata was spawned in the laboratory and larvae were successfully reared to spat setting under tropical conditions. larve grows through straight-hinge, umbo, eye spot pediveliger stages pelagic phase before metamorphosing plantigrade on a substratum as spat, these are described. Large differences noticed larval growth within between four rearing experiments. Isochrysis galbana used standard food throughout at cell concentration range 80–350/μl. Spatfall occurred day 24–32 variety of substrata. highest density 4.71/cm2 observed fibreglass tank bottom. Growth P. appears be step function, that up 13 weeks describes curvilinear form.
