摘要: Many strains of Clostridium botulinum synthesize an exoenzyme (C3) which catalyzes the specific ADP-ribosylation a 21 kilodalton substrate (1). All C3-producing also make either C1 or D neurotoxins. Botulinal neurotoxins block release neurotransmitters from nerve terminals and at start our work had been reported to be ADP-ribosyl transferases (2, 3). Hence we decided determine if there was any relationship between C3-catalyzed ADP- ribosylation neurosecretion. Here show that when C3 is introduced into cytosol PC12 cells it induces morphological differentiation but does not alter secretion neurotransmitter. By contrast introduction neurotoxin causes no shape change.
