摘要: Abstract Habitat selection by organisms can be driven a number of factors, including the availability resources. In particular, nutrient enrichment alter quality landscapes, and thus resources, with implications for consumer movement habitat use. coastal ecosystems, eutrophication affect production distribution behaviors space use consumers. this study, we coupled acoustic telemetry methods stable isotope analyses (SIA) to examine effects on movement, use, resource Common Snook (Centropomus undecimalis), valuable recreational fishery, across two neighboring estuarine lake systems varying trophic state (eutrophic vs. mesotrophic), located in Florida Bay (Florida, USA). had more inter-zone events mesotrophic system, suggesting higher mobility. More specifically, increased were observed upstream middle zones system where salinity submerged aquatic vegetation was lower, Chlorophyll ɑ levels higher. We also longer event durations eutrophic residency trend vary zones. Based δ15N, δ13C δ34S analyses, determined that although similar systems, relied greater diversity basal sources relative Snook. When relating metrics, found relationship zone-dependent, level showing movements into downstream zones, but less These findings highlight value cross-site comparisons pair measurements improve our understanding how animals select habitats under environmental conditions regimes.
