摘要: Background: Aneurysms of the middle cerebral artery (MCA) trifurcation region are underrepresented in large series endovascularly treated aneurysms. The purpose our study was to evaluate incidence specific morphologic features MCA bifurcation aneurysms that may affect suitability for endovascular treatment. Methods: We evaluated 53 consecutive patients with 58 or seen angiographic evaluation during a 4-year period at institution. All angiograms were reviewed for: aneurysm size (largest dimension, dome and neck size), branch vessels originating from sac, straightening wall suggest intramural thrombus, calcification aneurysm, stenosis parent vessel, presence daughter sacs. Results: Of aneurysms, 51 (88%) had ratio less than 2:1. Branch vessel incorporation sac 23/58 (40%), suggestive thrombus 14/58 (24%), 2/58 (3%), 1/58 (2%), sacs 4/58 (7%). Conclusions: majority have such as 2:1 make them unsuitable treatment using conventional intra-aneurysmal coiling.
