摘要: Fur proteins are global regulators present in all prokaryotes. In Anabaena sp. PCC 7120 FurA controls iron uptake and modulates an important set of genes related primarily to photosynthesis, nitrogen metabolism oxidative stress defense. Expression furA is tuned by the cis-acting antisense α-furA RNA that co-transcribed with outer-membrane protein Alr1690. Disruption α-furA-alr1690 message produces iron-deficient JAH3 mutant lacks Alr1690 shows enhanced expression FurA. cells severe structural disorders number, organization density photosynthetic membranes. Quantitative analysis fluorescence induction mutation affects J–I I–P phases causes alterations apparatus, leading lower performance indexes. These results reveal required for maintenance a proper thylakoid arrangement, efficient regulation optimal yield machinery.
