摘要: Article history Human brain is the most evolved complex structure in body. Neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson's disease (PD), Alzheimer's (AD), Huntington's (HD) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) are relatively common represent a substantial medical societal problem. Presently available pharmacological treatment for neurodegenerative symptomatic do not alter course or progression of disorders. Hence, this study was carried out with an interest contribution herbal medicines essential potent drug. Dalbergia sissoo (family: Fabaceae) Asian deciduous rosewood tree. It state tree Punjab (India) called Shisham used aphrodisiac, abortifacient, expectorant, anthelmintic antipyretic, memory enhancer etc. The leaf extract having more concentration flavonoids its neuroprotective effect animals unclear. To validate ethno therapeutic claims plant, ethanolic leaves evaluated by checking weight, antioxidant levels, histopathological TTC staining studies cerebral ischemia induced rats. extracts (ethanolic 300,600 mg/kg) were compared to negative control (global ischemic rats). observed that prior (DSE) (300mg/kg 600mg/kg, p.o. 10days) markedly reversed levels restored normal I/R groups. Moreover, coronal sections revealed protection against damage DSE treated From results obtained, it evident traditional had significant activity.
