摘要: Abstract In order to contribute the sustainability of urban environment, knowledge about climate should be translated into climatic guidelines for planning. However, there are hardly any studies on applied climatology in areas with a Mediterranean type climate. The study presented this paper has several aims: identify needs coastal city climate; describe methodology, which can adapted used other cities; discuss some problems that arise when applying planning, including selection adequate scale analysis, required data and tools, planning priorities, need develop shared language among planners climatologists; last furthering debate advantages Master Plans municipalities systematic way. Lisbon's case is presented. As spatialized guidelines, mapping physical features was carried out using Geographical Information System. Based Digital Terrain Model roughness “ventilation map” produced. A “building-density” map also prepared based analysis Landsat image field work. By crosstabulating these two layers, final depicting “homogeneous climatic-response units” prepared. Finally, series were put forth different units.
