Effects of 2-hydroxypropyl α-cyclodextrin on the radioactive iodine sorption on activated carbon

摘要: Effect of 2-hydroxypropyl α-cyclodextrin (α-HPCD) on the iodine adsorption onto activated carbon (AC) was investigated. The sorption efficiency increased with time, but rate increase in varied depending α-HPCD concentration. As a result, there were significant differences up to 3 times between concentrations time 3 days. There almost no difference 10 days. It is considered that speed increased, because molecules number increases and affinity for AC as included into α-HPCD.
