摘要: Abstract Administration of stable iodine has been considered a best measure to protect the thyroid from internal irradiation by radioiodine intake, and its efficacy on protection quantitatively evaluated in several simulation studies basis simple biokinetic models (i.e., three-compartment model). However, new model adopted International Commission Radiological Protection interprets expresses blocking phenomenon differently. Therefore, this study, was analyzed terms implemented reassess protective effects produce dosimetric data. The calculation performed using computation modules developed authors, results were compared with those experimental data prior studies. predicted that generally consistent data, except for range administration −72 h before exposure. Additionally, calculated study demonstrates critical limitation predicting bioassay functions, indicated dose assessment 1 d after exposure would result similar estimate irrespective administration time iodine.
