摘要: Peri-anastomotic ulcerations may occur in patients with previous abdominal surgery. They present only obscure GI bleeding. We report two cases whom capsule endoscopy identified postsurgical stenoses ulcers as the cause of Case 1. A 57-year-old male operated on 1970 for a post-traumatic diaphragm hernia followed by displacement caecum upper left quadrant. 2. 32-year-old female salpingectomy tuberculosis (1978) segmental ileal resection intestinal obstruction. Both had undergone extensive work-up including bidirectional endoscopies and enteroclysis negative results. Capsule GIVEN diagnostic system was done. Ileal mucosal dilated prestenotic loops were observed both cases. The retained at stenosis site, requiring anastomosis. Pathology reports showed ulcers. In case 2, ruled out tissue faecal polymerase chain reaction culture. causing bleeding clarify diagnosis shorten work-up. However, these should be warned that retention surgery might occur.
