摘要: In response to the concern with and severity of school violence limited research on teachers’responses these events, Teachers’Reactions School Violence Scale (TRSV) was developed. The TRSV is a self-report scale 35 items measuring teachers’ reactions in relation an incident violence. convenience sample consisted 143 middle high teachers. A principal components analysis yielded six components: Intrusion, Perceived Safety With Students, Avoidance Students/Situations, Trust Environmental Safety, Feelings Relief. accounted for 67% total variance, subscale reliabilities ranged from .60 .95. Convergent discriminant validity assessed through validation against Impact Events Scale. addition, comparison teachers perceived high-violence schools low-violence used examine criterion-related validity.
