摘要: Abstract Methyl formate adsorbs both molecularly and dissociatively as methoxy on titanium dioxide (TiO 2 ). dissociates TiO at dual sites that adsorb formate; adsorption are more numerous than those of the availability limits methyl coverage. Photocatalytic oxidation (PCO) oxidizes α -carbon in to CO without forming any long-lived intermediates, whereas β forms through formaldehyde formate. At least two types active exist for PCO their activities differ by an order magnitude; more-active comprise approximately 30% sites. carried out 373 K species quickly room temperature because elevated temperatures enhance inherent site activity convert adsorbed Water does not poison redistributes weakly bound during displacement. preferentially displaces methanol also converts some temperature.
