摘要: Fertile plants were regenerated from both cell suspension and protoplast-derived cultures of the two-row barley, Hordeum vulgare L. cv. Schooner. Embryogenic calluses, derived immature embryos, used to establish cultures. More than 100 plants, with variable seed set, have been six embryogenic Protoplasts isolated three divided when resultant proto-calluses transferred regeneration medium green albino shoots produced. The growth regulator-free plantlets that developed strong root systems potted in soil grown maturity glasshouse. Root tip analysis revealed expected 2N = 14 complement chromosomes. However, chromosomal showed numerical variation among a proportion regenerants.
