Transfusion-associated graft-versus-host disease in immunocompetent patients: a self-protective mechanism.

摘要: Transfusion-associated graft-versus-host disease (TA-GVHD) is a rare but hazardous complication caused by transfusion of leucocyte-containing blood. It not clear why some patients are at risk for TA-GVHD, others not. We studied TA-GVHD in immunocompetent individuals looking donor-anti-host reactivity after tested 62 donor-recipient combinations vitro before and different times blood with mixed lymphocyte culture. One patient was more detail. Reactivity donors against hosts gradually decreased transfusion. This decrease significantly correlated time (p < 0.001).
