摘要: Pasoh Forest Reserve (Pasoh FR) has been the site of several bird population studies, starting in late 1960s and continuing through present. So far, at least 220 species birds have reported using primary forest FR, with an additional 13 regenerating edge habitats. Of these, about 184 are residents that likely to breed within forest. Estimated densities for common babblers were 11~70 individuals per 100 ha suggesting total populations 200~1,500 FR. However, most much less common, many only a few pairs ha, or some cases Such assumed be too small viable long term without immigration from outside Many long-lived, representatives 14 having captured 10 years after initial ringing. The longevity record so is held by Rufous-collared Kingfisher (Adenoides concretus) was ringed as adult 1972 recaptured 21 later. Apparent survival rates resident species, correcting lower returns newly birds, averaged 77% year. As such, could persist even if breeding impaired. Because FR now surrounded on three sides oil palm plantations, support isolation, future community may risk. Further research, estimate all possible movements adjoining hill forest, would valuable determine which risk, try identify mitigating measures. research also considerable value understanding relationships between extinction movements, dynamics rarity.
