摘要: Studies on nest predation in temperate and Neotropical forests have documented increased of nests within small forest patches near edge. To test the applicability this finding Paleotropics, we monitored artificial placed edge interior a selectively logged rain peninsular Malaysia. We also unlogged to effects past logging rates, used both covered exposed assertion that are more prone vertebrate predation. Of three types studied, lowest rates were found highest at edge, with predated intermediate levels. Exposed significantly higher rate than nests. These findings support existence persistent influence selective predation, suggest link between disturbance applies Paleotropics.
