摘要: Nutritional balances, 45Cakinetics and roentgenologAastudies were per formed on six Holstein calves, three of which had been given 100 ppm fluoride in their drinking water for 11 months. The fluoride-treated calves lower body weights, food intakes, calcium balances than the controls. Multicompartmental analysis indi cated marked depression absorption efficiency from gastrointestinal tract, an elevated rate removal bone calves. Urinary excretion, deposition into bone, mass exchangeable did not appear to be affected by fluoride. Endoge nous fecal excretion was group but a high correlation endogenous with weight suggested that this direct effect Radiographs sections metacarpal bones indicated decreased min eral density, larger intertrabecular spaces, prominent rA©sorptioncavities These findings are consistent hypothesis primary inhibition homeostatic elevation as mechanism development demineralizing lesions cattle exposed levels
