摘要: Genetic relatedness poses significant challenges to traditional practices of medical ethics as concerns the biobanking human biological samples. In this paper, we first outline ethical informed consent and confidentiality these apply biobanks, irrespective type tissue being stored. We argue that shared nature genetic information has clear implications for consent, identifying samples promises confidentiality. Next, with regard special case embryos eggs, consider issues arising from: first, tissues stored; second, use which are put; third, how plays out given tissues. Specifically, examine differences between bodily reproductive focusing on assumed potential possible greater emotional attachment because their real imagined kinship. For some donors there may be a sense family connection eggs they once thought 'children-in-waiting'. Finally, conclude by considering practice.
