摘要: Background To compare intraocular pressure (IOP) readings using the Icare rebound tonometer (RBT) versus Goldmann applanation (GAT) in late elderly (aged 75 years or older) subjects with without glaucoma, and to evaluate influence of central corneal thickness (CCT) on IOP readings. Methods The measurements were obtained RBT GAT, CCT was measured a specular-type microscope. Bland-Altman analysis used assess clinical agreement between two instruments. adjusted for age analyzed by multiple linear regression analysis. Results This study included 58 eyes 29 normal 54 28 glaucoma patients. mean 80.7±4.3 (normal subjects) 83.1±5.1 (glaucoma patients). 13.6±3.5 mmHg 13.2±2.8 (using respectively) subjects, 13.6±3.3 13.5±2.9 95% confidence interval differences instruments -3.3 4.0 -2.9 1.6 significantly correlated (for RBT, β=0.036 P=0.002, β=0.021 P=0.033) but not eyes. Conclusion GAT showed within allowable range glaucoma. Eyes closely each instrument.
