摘要: Summary Eutrophication in two different coastal areas – the Gulf of Gdansk (southern Baltic) and Oslofjord/Drammensfjord (Norway) both subject to human pressure with restricted water exchange adjacent seas, was investigated compared. Sediment cores (up 20 cm long) were collected at 12 stations using a core sampler, 6 each areas, divided into sub-samples. The physicochemical parameters characterizing column near-bottom water, i.e. salinity, oxygen concentration temperature, measured during sample collection. Chlorophylls-a, -b -c, their derivatives selected carotenoids determined for all samples, as additional sediments, Corg, Ntot, δ13C δ15N, grain size. 210Pb activity also on that basis sediment mixing accumulation rates estimated. distribution pigments sediments related environmental conditions, sampling site location characteristics. results are agreement other observations eutrophication has increased, especially since 1970s, whereas Oslofjord it decreased same period. better preserved inner than those from Gdansk. demonstrate sum chloropigments-a calculated per dry weight is valuable measure eutrophication, providing monitoring properly, hypoxic/anoxic non-mixed. Besides, confirm previous percentages particular chlorophyll-a universal markers conditions basin. ratios chloropigments-b chlorophylls-c (ΣChlns-b/ΣChlns-a; Chls-c/ΣChlns-a) may by applied complementary freshwater marine organic matter input, respectively.
