摘要: A fire spread experiment was conducted in the field under wind-blown conditions. The fuel consists of tall and dense Mediterranean shrub vegetation. plot area about 30 m wide 80 long. This not only order to increase knowledge understanding behaviour but provide data for validation physics based models spread. In particular, effects wind on geometric thermal properties flame front were investigated. temperature along vertical direction radiation emitted ahead front, measured. methodology employed this some quantitative measurements velocity direction, properties, are also presented discussed. observations exhibit that structure character very different from one encountered at laboratory scale. These preliminary results show large scale turbulence influence affects shape, emission.
