摘要: Dry sliding wear behavior of Ti-6.5Al-3.5Mo-1.5Zr-0.3Si (hereafter called TC11) alloy was investigated under various speeds and distances. TC11 presented marked variations the rate with an increase speed from 0.5 to 4 m/s. Especially at high loads, a severe-to-mild transition occurred climax 2.68 m/s, lower values were 1.5 lowest point also mild-to-severe m/s distance, but not others. With thorough examination for worn surfaces, subsurfaces debris, distinct characteristics noticed correspond in conditions. The highest respectively, corresponded no oxides large debris particles as well more small particles. tribo-oxides formed room temperature suggested be protective, which seemed contradictory popular view that titanium alloys possess wear-reducing effect.
