摘要: Abstract Study Objective To assess the complication rates with use of levonorgestrel intrauterine system (LNG IUS) in adolescents developmental disabilities. Design Retrospective chart review all disabilities taken to operating room for LNG IUS insertion between January 2000 and July 2009 at Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne, Australia. Cases identified from surgical database, medical records reviewed. Main Outcome Measures Complication development disabilities: non-insertion, uterine perforation, infection, expulsion. Results Fifty-six had an attempted insertion. The average age was 15.6 years (range 10.5-21.5 y). used as first line therapy 14 cases (25%). Pre-insertion ultrasonography ordered 48% cases, out which 5 lengths Conclusion Our experience this population has been very positive confirms that are comparable adults.
