摘要: The Neurospora crassa blind mutant white collar-1 (wc-1) is pleiotropically defective in all blue light-induced phenomena, establishing a role for the wc-1 gene product signal transduction pathway. We report cloning of isolated by chromosome walking and complementation. elucidation provides key piece light puzzle. encodes 125 kDa protein whose encoded motifs include single class four, zinc finger DNA binding domain glutamine-rich putative transcription activation domain. demonstrate that domain, expressed Escherichia coli, able to bind specifically promoter light-regulated using an vitro gel retardation assay. Furthermore, we show expression autoregulated transcriptionally induced irradiation.
