Because fast response, energy storage becoming very attractive means providing service so deal with large amount wind/solar generation. This chapter reviews basic characteristics storage, explains why can outperform fuel-type machines in market. New regulatory change market design, could have an influencing impact over value that deliver, also discussed. The application examples PJM Interconnection Electric Reliability Council Texas (ERCOT) given demonstrate how operated different markets.
