摘要: The potential contribution nurses can make to the management of antimicrobials within an in-patient setting could impact on development antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and healthcare associated infections (HCAIs). Current initiatives promoting prudent prescribing have generally failed include nurses, which subsequently limits extent these strategies improve patient outcomes. For stewardship (AS) programmes be successful, a sustained seamless level monitoring decision making in relation therapy is needed. As most consistent presence as carer, they are ideal position provide this service. However, for truly AMR HCAIs through increasing their profile AS, barriers facilitators adopting enhanced role must contextualised implementation any initiative.
