摘要: Human papillomavirus DNA testing is gaining wider acceptance, yet the majority of still undertaken in research setting using protocols that are unsuitable for clinical diagnostic laboratories. Large-scale human likely to be introduced as an adjunct cervical cytology, so cytology laboratory appropriate place it undertaken. This poses a challenge any test since will performed by technicians not specifically trained virology or molecular biology, and need produce consistently reliable results this setting. only realistically possible with standardized quality-controlled, commercially produced test. There currently one such available assay, although there number research-based tests could logically lead additional commercial products. The technological basis these assays, together performance data, reviewed chapter utility evaluated.
