摘要: Maintaining mobility is a critical element for the quality of life. Skeletal muscle, primary organ locomotion, undergoes age-associated deterioration in size, structure, and function. Recent research suggests that oxidative stress an important etiology sarcopenia. The level imposed on aging muscle influenced by two fundamental biological processes: increased generation reactive oxygen species (ROS) changes antioxidant defense. It appears despite ROS production, has decreased gene expression enzymes possibly due to diminished ability cell signaling. A major benefit nonexhaustive exercise induce mild stimulates certain enzymes. This mediated activation redox-sensitive signaling pathways. For example, mitochondrial (Mn) superoxide dismutase enhanced after acute bout preceded elevated NF-kappaB AP-1 binding. An increase de novo protein synthesis enzyme usually requires repeated bouts exercise. Aging does not abolish but seems attenuate training adaptations Thus, senescent should be assisted with supplementation exogenous antioxidants optimal
