摘要: Speech perception in noise is still difficult for cochlear implant (CI) users even with many years of CI use. This study aimed to investigate neurophysiological and behavioral foundations CI-dependent speech noise. Seventeen post-lingual twelve age-matched normal hearing adults participated two experiments. In Experiment 1, users' auditory-only word (white noise, two-talker babble; at 10 dB SNR) degraded by about 15%, compared that quiet (48% accuracy). auditory-visual was generally better than perception. Auditory-visual under information masking the (69% accuracy), (77%). Such degradation not observed white (77%), suggesting overcoming an important issue improvement. 2, event-related cortical potentials were recorded auditory oddball task only). Similarly participants, showed mismatch negative response (MNR) deviant quiet, indicating automatic detection. MNR disappeared users, only good performers (above 66% accuracy) P300 (P3) like participants. P3 amplitude positively correlated scores. These results suggest users’ difficulty associated lack detection indicated MNR. Successful performance may begin attended processing P3.
