摘要: Background Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a connective tissue disorder of unknown etiology that often complicated by pulmonary involvement, with hypertension (PH) and interstitial lung disease (ILD) being the major causes death. It has been suggested amount nitric oxide (NO) in exhaled air may predict onset complications. The aim study was to measure NO SSc patients investigate its relationship involvement without PH. Methods Fifty (5 men 45 women; mean age, 59.1 ± 11.7 years [± SD]) diagnosis based on preliminary criteria American Rheumatism Association, 40 healthy control subjects 35 58.3 12.2 years) underwent measurements means chemiluminescence analyzer, function tests, high-resolution thorax CT, Doppler echocardiography. Results Exhaled concentrations were significantly higher than (p = 0.02), lower ILD and/or PH those r − 0.5, p Conclusions Our results indicate are without, or have values subjects.
