摘要: Purpose: Androgens seems to play an important role in prostate cancer (PCa) pathogenesis. Some studies reveal that possible testosterone deficiency could be involved PCa development and progress. Others indicate men with high levels have increased risk developing more aggressive poor response therapy. The objective of the present study is establish a correlation between serum total (TT), specific antigen (PSA) clinical markers evaluating aggressiveness tumor process patients. Material/Methods: A eighty males, aged from 52 84 years (mean age 66.28 ± 6.015 years), histologically confirmed PCa, entered study. Diagnosis was established by systemic transrectal ultrasoundguided tru-cut biopsies (10 cores at least). Detected tumors were graded using Gleason grading system. Serum TT PSA analyzed immunochemically. Pearson statistics level significance set p 7). Conclusions: Our results confirm hypothesis low are related prognosis severity PCa.
