摘要: Recent neuropsychological evidence suggested a role for the right prefrontal cortex in temporal orienting of attention guided by symbolic cues, and left preparation rhythms. We tested this hypothesis comparing effects 1-Hz repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) over regions on performances two tasks, one using cues (short vs. long lines) other regular rhythms (fast slow pace) to indicate when (early late) target would be most likely appear. Stimulation site was either dorsolateral (DLPFC), DLPFC, or sham condition. The results showed that frontal TMS produced differential as function type cuing. In cuing, sites (vs. sham) increased reducing reaction times valid trials. rhythmic however, did not influence performance. This dissociation between forms suggests specific DLPFC ability orienting, but
