New controlled switching approach for limitation of transmission line switching overvoltages

摘要: In this study, a new controlled switching approach is proposed. This method applied to the closing of high voltage uncompensated transmission lines. The developed version conventional zero-crossing approach. Performance evaluated and compared with approach, using electro-magnetic transients program. results simulation studies confirm advantages over existing methods.
