摘要: Abstract The main objectives of this work were to characterize the water sorption dental composites in terms uptake, diffusion coefficients (D), and polymer content, study how these parameters are influenced by nature filler presence 4-META (4-methacryloxy ethyl trimellitic anhydride). Four amhydrous composites—(1) tribasic calcium phosphate (TCP 50%) triethylene glycol dimethacrylate (TEGDM), (2) silanated lithium aluminum silicate (SS, 75%) TEGDM, (3) barium sulfate [BaSO4 (70%) poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA)], (4) silanecoated glass (SBG) (75%)- PMMA employed water-sorption studies at 37°C. effect 5% on uptake was studied data conformed approximately Fick's laws diffusion. values D found be significantly smaller with SS, suggesting an effective coupling. Polymer contents latter two determined incineration samples constant weight. filled specimens about two-fold that which would expected basis content. These took nearly twice as much unfilled PMMA. An additional amount is perhaps accommodated interface between matrix. for considerably larger than those speciments. It appears filler-matrix provides paths facile similar grain boundary
