摘要: Abstract This study was carried out to assess the utility of antibodies raised synthetic peptides predicted sequence c-erbB-2 gene product identify immunocytochemically those tumours overexpressing this putative transmembrane receptor. Staining with rabbit antiserum 21N gave best correlation amplification and did not stain membrane any normal tissues at dilution which strongly stained amplified tumours. No significant found lymph node involvement, epidermal growth factor receptor status or oestrogen levels. Of 12 34 cases demonstrated in primary tumour, two had metastases were also positive immunocytochemically. Fourteen other negative tumour metastases. These all showed strong positivity. A comparison modified methacarn formol saline fixation an increased sensitivity former, but staining pattern unaltered. small extensively studied group has indicated that protein can be identified routinely fixed tissue sections, making it possible carry extensive studies look for clinical correlates, stage progression expression occurs whether correlates potentially premalignant condition.
